Two apartments in a 17th-century stable
In the heart of the Fronsadais vineyards, La CLOCHETTE du CHÂTEAU is housed in a former outbuilding of the Château de Carnay—once stables and living quarters for the grape pickers—which has been renovated while preserving its original materials.
This building houses the GÎTE and the MAISONNETTE, two independent vacation rentals, both rated as 4-star furnished vacation rentals. Dogs are welcome.
La CLOCHETTE is 30 minutes from Bordeaux · 20 minutes from Saint-Émilion · 15 minutes from the Libourne train station · 1 hour and 15 minutes from the ocean.
A VIBRANT PLACE
Nearly two hectares in the middle of the vineyards.
The property opens onto the vineyards, with a large shared garden. Part of it is currently undergoing renaturation: former vineyard plots are being restored to their natural state, with wild grasses and young trees.
In the vegetable garden, which is cultivated using permaculture principles, seasonal fruits and vegetables grow—our guests are welcome to help themselves.
We live there ourselves, along with our chickens, cats, and dogs.
TIME AND CALM
There's no rush here.
In the old barn: a ping-pong table, games, a barbecue, a pizza oven, and a large table. For some peace and quiet, there’s the sauna.
From May through September, the saltwater pool—equipped with an alarm system—becomes the centerpiece of the garden.
TWO APARTMENTS, ONE LOCATION
The garden, pool, sauna, and barn are shared between the two apartments.

The GÎTE and MAISONNETTE are available for individual rental.
