La CLOCHETTE is located in an outbuilding of the Château de Carnay. In France, any winery may use the name "château." In addition, our garden is designed according to the principles of permaculture, and we are working to restore the fields surrounding the house to their natural state.
Arrival and Transportation
-
A car is recommended for exploring Bordeaux, the Atlantic Ocean, and the vineyards at your own pace.
Local shops (bakery, butcher shop) are within walking distance, and you can reach Libourne or Saint-André-de-Cubzac by bike.
It is possible to reach La Clochette by public transportation (bus from Libourne or Saint-André-de-Cubzac to Lugon and Île du Carnay), but with luggage this is not very practical since there is still about a 1-kilometer walk to La Clochette. -
Yes, there is a free, enclosed parking lot on the property with electric vehicle charging stations (solar-powered).

Guests are scheduled to check out at 10 a.m., and we place great importance on the cleanliness and readiness of the premises. Since the MAISONNETTE (110 m²) and the GÎTE (70 m²) must be thoroughly cleaned, the beds made, and everything carefully prepared, early check-in is generally not possible. If, by chance, we finish early, we’ll be happy to let you know—and you’re welcome to arrive before the usual check-in time.
-
The train stations in Libourne (15 min) and Saint-André-de-Cubzac (10 min) offer direct connections to Bordeaux.

Check-in is at 4:00 p.m.
Early check-in is generally not possible.
We take the time to thoroughly prepare your accommodations after the previous guests have checked out (10:00 a.m.): a complete cleaning, beds made, and everything carefully checked. If we finish early, we’ll be happy to call you so you can arrive sooner!
